FYI: This is April finally blogging. I know! I know..... I thought it was a crazy idea too but you know how Blake is when he gives you the puppy dog face, you just can't say no. So here I am and there you are ready to hear about Disneyland.
Yes we got to go this last weekend and it was a BLAST!!! I had won a trip on the radio back in July and we had until next April to use it. We figure we'd better go sooner than later with the baby on the way. So we figured what a nice way to end the school semester. Well for me to end it anyway, Blake has his last 2 finals in the morning.
The prize that I won consisted of 3 days 2 nights in a Disneyland resort hotel and park hopper tickets for all 3 days for FOUR people! I had some deciding to do about who to take with me. Some would assume that Blake would be of coarse invited to go..... and he was :) 2 tickets left. Of coarse we wanted to take Allee cause she always fun. The last ticket went to my cousin Adam who got back from his mission at the beginning of the year. (No nothing came of Adam and Allee, it wasn't meant to be)
We left for D-land Thursday morning at about 4am and got there about an hour after opening, and stayed till close. We rode all the rides that we wanted! Well the other 3 did :( I had a doctors appointment the day before we left and he advised me not to ride any "thrill" rides. (and no more happiness) It was okay though, we didn't wait more than 15 minutes for ANY ride. And I still did have a blast doing all the little things that I have never been able to do before.
Friday was set aside for California Adventure. Again no lines at all, especially for the water ride they have. I can't figure out why no one would want to get wet on a cloudy day in December with NO SUN! We went on the river rapids ride 6 times in a row! We had to go back to the hotel to change after that cause we were soaking wet, especially Blake. He seemed to get the worst of it every time. After Dry clothes and some sandwiches, we headed back to try out the new Toy Story ride that they have there. We found out later on the ride home, that it was every ones favorite. Its all 3D, you shoot different things, and score points. Its really competitive, I think thats one reason we liked it so much.
By Saturday we could hardly walk, especially me. Everypoint from the waist down, ached from walking all over 2 huge parks. You should have seen us we all looked like zombies. None the less, Saturday we went back to Disneyland. It was pretty busy so we did more of watching the little shows and looking in all the shops.
All in all it was an awesome trip and we all had a awesome time. Trips are so much more fun when there FREE!
