Yesterday...
Yesterday was an awesome Friday!
When I woke up I could hear the wind HAWLING!
When I finally got around to looking out the window (about 2 minutes later), I was almost dumb founded! I had never in my life been in conditions like this. I later described it as: Being inside of a snow globe that a small child has just picked off the shelf and is trying to see how crazy they can make all of the little white flakes fly around! The wind was blowing so hard I told Blake, "Where not in Kansas anymore!"
So what did we do?!? We took the golf cart out of coarse!!!! :) (that has been so fun to have)
We drove that thing around for at least an hour, in the freezing cold windy snow... It was so much fun! Good thing Betty has that 5 acres for us to do so. We would drive and see where we could skid and do those crazy fun turns where you "turn the steering wheel and hit the breaks at the same time so you slide all crazy like!" (I forget what there called) Neighbor Megan, thanx to Blake, has recently come to own her own cart now, so she had her children where enjoying in the fun :)
Look how the snow sticks to this shrub... it was just crazy to me!
Look at these cuties!
(if you didn't have sun glasses on you couldn't keep your eyes open during the ride AT ALL! Hence Maycee's shades)
Never thought I would be able to say that we were "snowed-in" but we pretty much were! So crazy to me that has lived in the valley of the sun her whole life!
At one point Blake was throwing snowballs at us from outside the girls thought it was funny that he would throw them, but that they wouldn't hit us...
you can see one in the air now...
Blake also showed us this other trick he knows...
(ha ha... BLACK MAIL!)
Yesterday, Blake also made me take down my "Birthday Loot"
It was so fun to have up! I loved seeing all the things that people got me for my special day... it made me feel loved! Blake thought it was selfish :(
Everytime I walked by it would make me smile...
......
...Now looking back I guess it was a little Idolatrous :/
Thank you to EVERYONE that made my day so special!
I got some really neat gifts and was so happy for all the Birthday Wishes!
I do have to brag about Blake for a second, he did throw a wonderful surprise party for me! It was so neat to have all the friends and family there. Thanx to the Sherwoods, neighbor Browns, and Tenney's for being there :) It really made my day!!!
(this is me trying to be surprised... Blake threw out one to many clues as to what was going on and so I did know about it in advance BUT it was still so wonderful to have everyone there, Thanx again.)
Also, yesterday night, I put these in Maycee's hair...
TODAY...
This is what we woke up too...
She was not to happy about the curls!
She has since embraced them...
Lydia likes them too...
Today has been a day of new things...
-tried out the pink curlers...
-tried out the new birthday griddle...
-and Blake is going to try his luck at this sport...
HE JUST BOUGHT THIS TODAY!!!
As you can tell from the picture above he was on a ride with 5 other guys within the hour!
(I'll give you a high five if you can guess which one is Blake, in the picture above)
He has been ecstatic about this purchase! Its a thrill to see him so excited about it. Don't get me wrong I have my fears too but it makes me happy to see him happy :)
TOMORROW...
Tomorrow I am looking forward to an amazing roast I am going to throw in the crock pot before church!
Blake doing the dishes!
And for a relaxing family day!
Love you all, pray for Blake :)

What a fun weekend! You got more snow there than we have here in Virginia this whole winter!
That was so wonderful for Blake to throw you a surprise birthday party, and I am so glad that Blake was able to find a motorcycle that he is happy with and that he can have a chance to go play with the boys. Every man needs a chance to go out and have some man fun, just like us girls have got to get out every once and a while and have a girl's night out or some fun shopping time. I love maycee's bouncy, fun hair!!!!!
