Birthday Gift

Look at this SILVERWARE!!! Its shinny and sparkly and all BRAND SPANKIN' NEW!!!

I have been wanting new silverware since we have gotten married. Two years. But I kept telling myself I could live with the free, missed-matched, cheap looking, weightless, and revolting stuff we had. I was embarrassed every time we had people over for dinner. But to just go out and buy new stuff like that can be really expensive.... so I wait for the right time, my birthday :)

My mom told me that she was going to take me shopping for my birthday. So when we got in the car to go, I asked" where are we going?" She said, "I don't know that's your choice." Awe Ha, it was decided I new exactly where I wanted to go and what I wanted to buy...... Ross. Silverware.

I made sure to look at all my options carefully and see which set was the best quality for the best price. Luckily my mom was there and could point out a few things and help me decide.

When I got home I was so excited to show Blake my purchase, well my moms purchase for me. I made him close his eyes and guess and everything. (he didn't guess right, he thought I got clothes) We came inside and while I got started on dinner I made sure he washed all the silverware carefully so we could use it for dinner.
I was jumping up and down while I was putting the new silverware in the plastic utensil organizer.

Blake was upset because the organizer we have only has one slot for spoons and one for forks so we had to double up. Big forks and little forks in one slot and same with the spoons. (also a slot for knives and one for the big salad fork and spoon) I wonder how long it will be before we get a new one..... probably not very long. Blake doesn't like having to dig through the small forks to get a big one. Ha Ha! I laugh at it.

You know what else this 65 piece set of silverware came with.......drum roll please...... A SLOTTED SPOON!!! It'll be so nice to not have all the corn juice with my corn on my dinner plate making my dinner roll soggy :) Blake was really excited about this item too.

This all may sound really funny to you guys but I was so excited to have my new silverware! I think its great. Thanx mom, for the new silverware.
