Blessings

I know this news is a little old but I feel as though it needs to be shared, it was such a blessing for our family!

Blake was in a car accident almost 2 weeks ago.

He was sitting at a red light on a small side street.... waiting ....waiting...... waiting. He had gone out to Phoenix to pick up some work equipment for my dad and was in one of the work trucks (Toyota Tacoma). He said it was a long light to sit through and that he had just been singing to the music. He looked up and saw that it was green. He didn't know how long it had been green and there were cars behind him waiting to turn left as well so he quickly made his way out into the intersection. As he did he notice a car headed straight for him. The car ran the red light. Luckily Blake was aware of what was about to happen. He hit the gas and moved the truck just enough more forward so the car missed hitting the driver side door. The red light runner instead hit just behind Blakes door and spun the truck around a complete 180 degrees. Blake was stunned but was able to keep his head on straight and get the truck out of the intersection. Once he did he went to help the girl move her car. The Damage to her car......... Her car was totaled! The hood was completely crumpled and the wheel wells where smashed in so they were rubbing on the tires, they had to pull them out before they could move her car.

The damage to the truck Blake was driving.......... virtually UNTOUCHED!

When the cops arrived, they were in disbelief! They asked if Blake was sure this was the vehicle that he was driving, if this was the vehicle that was in the accident. He reassured them that it was.

After being hit by a car that was moving at least 45 mph there should have been much more damage to his truck! There wasn't.

When Blake arrived back to my parents (where we were all waiting to see the him and the truck) we couldn't believe our eyes. Blake was saved. He was protected by our Heavenly Father.

I am so grateful for the gospel in my life. I am grateful that Heavenly Father sent angels to keep Blake safe. I don't know what I would have done if he was hurt. What a testimony growing experience! Maycee and I love you Blake and we are glad that you are here with us, in one healthy piece :)
