SUMMER 2012

WOW!  What a Summer we have had!!!
My last few posts covered June pretty well, this post is all of July and up to today in August :)

If you haven't heard Blake convinced me we needed to buy and pop up tent trailer and a jeep to pull it!  I don't know what I was thinking, but we did and it has been a blast!  I don't have any pictures of the trailer yet but I do have some of the Jeep...

Our first exciting experience in the Jeep was to go see the 4th of July fireworks! The girls LOVED it!

It looks like we are out in the sticks because we are!  The fireworks were shot off the hill just behind the college.  We pulled off into the desert that is just across the street from the college and we had a fantastic view!
(the back door on the jeep doesn't stay open (we found out when we got there) Blake was able to find the perfect stick to keep it open. It stays in on jeep always now.)
Mom made popcorn and had treats of course!  No fancy outfits, just PJ's!

I thought we were so red neck with our "stick" I had to get another pic :)

Next up was the famous, and long awaited PSR!!!
I took the new (to us) Jeep and trailer up to the reunion on Tuesday ad Blake joined us on Thursday evening.  This year Aunt Bet had us all celebrate a "Year in a Week". Each day we celebrate a few months. Wednesday we were celebrating the summer months and had a patriotic parade!

We had our 3-cornered-hats and we were set!

Each family decorated their own "float" with a patriotic theme in mind.  Pretty much you just used what you had.  We have such a creative bunch!
(Lydia ate several tootsie rolls while we decorated)

Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Shum were our "Grand Marshalls"

Here are the ...Websters!

Brimhalls!
(Emery made a great Statue of Liberty)
A trailer of Grandkids ALWAYS makes everything better!
Maycees in there, in the back, you can see her hair.

Rustle Bustle
"Hey Hey, what do you say?!  Happy birthday USA!"

Judds!
"Obama, Obama, He set me free!"
(said in the best mexican voice you can muster)

Flakes!
"Made in the USA"

WE all had a great week with the Rogers Family.  Maycee and Lydia Loved loved LOVED playing with all of their cousins!!!
Here Maycee is with Josie.  Her other favorites to play with were Koby, Brody, Avie, Lydia, Kamy, Morgan, and Dallin. Thanx Cousins!

This little girl was messy messy but so cute!

 SLIP N SLIDE!

Maycee's closest cousin, in age, Avie Rae!  They share a special bond and a middle name :)
4 months, minus a day, apart.
These girls had a blast together!   Playing house, and dolls and just running around together.

One afternoon Aunt Bet had another fun idea... She gathered all the married lady's rings and put them on a stick.  Then went around to various people and asked if they could name who's was who's or if they could pick out there spouses.  Very fun idea!  Can you find mine?
 Men's rings...
Wish I could have got a better pic of all of them...

Allee has been asking FOREVER for vinyl for her car... finally got her some! (sorry for the wait)
They named the car "Dandee" so fittingly enough we put a dandelion on there.  See the little seeds floating away?  (lighting was kinda hard to work with)  They go from the side window across the car and down the back.  Cool huh?!

Next up?!  Pioneer day celebration!!!  They do roadshows here.  Its a big deal :)  Blake was asked to star as the "Bishop" in ours, he even had lines!  We were also apart of the production, as his family.  The girls still talk about the song we sang at the end.  It was fun!

 The parade on Saturday!
These are Maycee and Lydia's cousin that live here... They are very distant but we do stuff with them ALL THE TIME!  Maycee, Lydia, Kyce, Emry, Brody.  (Brody and Maycee are about 6 months apart.  Lydia and Emry 3 weeks apart. Also another fun side note Brody and Emry's mom, Jamie, and I are due a week and a half apart with both of our "#3's")

Same kids plus the neighbor kids, Jacob and Ellie.

After the parade they had tons of activities at the church. Money sand pit, wadding pools, slip and slide, races, tug of war, train ride, and GREAT food!

July was definitely a very busy and FUN month!
August has been just as busy and fun!  I have done a TON of canning and freezing, peaches, green chile, chicken, green beans and zucinni!  Had another reunion at the Ranch. Brimhall family.  Great weekend that was!  My mom and her mom, along with Rachel came to visit!  We had a great time just hanging out, canning chicken, playing cards, and we went and saw "Fiddler on the Roof" at an out door theater in Farmington, put on by the parks and rec.  It was a great show!  ALSO OTHER BIG NEWS, long story short, my brother Kevin moved in with us!!! :)  He will be here for at least a the semester, maybe longer.  We are happy to have him!  it has been a great week with him so far.  The girls love to play with him and he is a great help around the house. Love ya Kev!

Today we went to the county fair.  Paid way to much for everything, but it was still great!  Lots of free things to see and do.  The 4H animals were a big hit with the girls.

Here Blake is making bubbles...
I totally missed the bubble it is way above the camera...
Kevin giving it a try... (the girls in the back were totally flirting with him)

 How fast can Blake throw???
This was his 3rd throw, his 4th was 65 mph. pretty good?! YA!

Lydia trying out her balancing skills...

Can't wait to see what the rest of August will bring! :)  Blake starts school in 2 weeks.  We have a big camping trip planned for next weekend to Colorado.  Hope i can get some awesome pictures to share. Love you all!
